Does my data stay private and GDPR-compliant?+
Yes. Where possible, I use self-hosted tools (like n8n on your own server) so your data never leaves the EU. If third-party services are needed, I only recommend ones with proper data processing agreements and EU data residency options. GDPR compliance is part of the design, not an afterthought.
What can realistically be automated?+
Good candidates are repetitive, rules-based tasks: moving data between systems, sending triggered emails or notifications, generating reports, routing enquiries, updating spreadsheets, or processing form submissions. Things that require judgment, nuance, or human relationships are usually not worth automating, and I’ll say so if that’s the case.
Which tools do you work with: n8n, Make, something else?+
I work with n8n (self-hostable, open source, great for privacy-conscious businesses), Make (formerly Integromat, well-suited for connecting popular SaaS tools), and custom code where neither fits. The choice depends on your existing stack, your data requirements, and what’s easiest for you to manage long term. I’ll recommend what makes sense, not what’s trendiest.
What does automation cost?+
Most projects start from €1,000 for a focused automation scope. Larger integrations connecting multiple systems are quoted individually after a discovery call. I quote upfront so there are no surprises. Ongoing support is available month-to-month if your workflows need adjusting over time.
Do I actually need AI, or just a good workflow?+
Honestly? Often just a good workflow. AI is genuinely useful for tasks like drafting text, classifying content, or summarising long inputs, but for most day-to-day repetitive work, a straightforward automation does the job faster, cheaper, and more reliably. I’ll always tell you which applies to your situation rather than upselling AI for the sake of it.
